Vacancy Role:

Art Director

Experience: +4 years, experience as an Art Director in an Advertising Agency, tertiary qualification in Art Direction, Design, or Art Theory

Role purpose: The Art Director is responsible for conceptualising, designing, crafting, and producing outstanding creative work that meets the client brief and remains true to the essence of the brand. You will work cohesively with a team to conceptualise ideas and designs, formulate artwork, scripts, and storyboards based on client specifications.

Reports to: Creative Director/ Group Head/s

Management level: Mid

Direct Reports: None

Responsibilities

Conceptualise, design, produce, and craft original and impactful visual concepts and designs in response to creative briefs.

Create outstanding work that elevates the agency’s creative output and leaves a lasting impression.

Present work internally and externally with professionalism and energy.

Collaborate effectively with planning, account management, production, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and manage expectations.

Work closely with the broader agency team to gain a deep understanding of brands, consumers, and the project scope.

Deliver well-presented and well-thought-out creative work timeously.

Accurately record and track time spent on projects in accordance with agency processes.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications: Post-graduate degree or National Diploma majoring in Art Direction, Design, or Art Theory.

Experience: +4 years as an Art Director, a top-class portfolio

Process: Sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in an agency.

Skills: Proficiency in creative suite applications, confident communication skills, ability to manage multiple campaigns
